VIP Mobile Recharge Terms of Use
Mobile Recharge is a service offered by VIP Communications, Inc. (VIP). The service is designed to enable VIP customers to send credit to prepaid mobile phones in the US and other countries.
- YOUR AGREEMENT WITH VIP
- Your agreement with VIP is made up of the VIP prepaid account Terms and Conditions and the Mobile Recharge Terms of Use set out in this document. To the extent of any inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions and this document, the Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
- ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS
- 2.1. In order to use VIP Mobile Recharge, you must first accept these Terms. These Terms are accepted by you (a) when you click to accept or agree to the Terms; or (b) when you download and/or use the Software, Products and/or VIP Websites.
- MOBILE RECHARGE TRANSACTIONS
- By completing the Mobile Recharge instruction page located at www.joinvip.com/mobilerecharge you are authorizing VIP to debit your specified payment account for the cost of the transaction, and to send the Mobile Recharge value to the mobile phone account that you have specified by providing the mobile phone number.
- Upon your submission of a completed Mobile Recharge request, we will debit your payment account for the amount of the transaction, including all charges and fees, and forward an electronic request to the relevant mobile network operator to credit the mobile phone specified by you with your requested recharge value.
- Once we have received confirmation from the mobile operator that they have received the electronic recharge and accepted it, we will display to you a confirmation screen that your Mobile Recharge has been successfully sent. Once such confirmation has been received, it is entirely the responsibility of the mobile operator to add the recharge credit to the specified mobile account.
- Typically a recharge will be available for use on the specified mobile account instantly or within a few minutes of our confirmation on the website that your transaction was successfully completed. In some instances it can take up to 24 hours for the mobile operator to correctly display the credit as available. You understand that the length of time taken for the mobile operator to make the credit available is not in the control of VIP, and VIP is not responsible for any such delays. VIP will provide you contact information for the mobile operator, so that you or the intended recharge recipient can contact the mobile operator directly to enquire about the credit.
- MOBILE RECHARGE RATES AND TAXES
- All Mobile Recharges through the VIP website will be charged to you in US dollars. All recharges received on the specified mobile account will be credited in the local currency in which that mobile account is billed.
- VIP will display your cost for each Mobile Recharge in US dollars, and the amount of credit to be received by the specified mobile account in the local currency.
- The cost to you of each mobile recharge may include the cost of the mobile credit, a service fee and any other charges related to additional services you may select. VIP will display all charges to you, prior to you approval of the transaction by clicking the submit button.
- Some mobile operators may be required to charge taxes on your Mobile Recharge. In which case, the amount of tax will be deducted by the mobile operator from the Mobile Recharge prior to being credited to the recipient account.
- MOBILE RECHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE TRANSACTIONS
- Once you have confirmed your approval of the Mobile Recharge transaction by clicking on the submit button VIP will immediately send the transaction electronically, and there is no way for us to recall or reverse the transaction process. Therefore, your transaction is non-refundable after you have submitted it.
- If we do not receive a confirmation back from the mobile operator that the recharge has been received and accepted, we will provide a message back to you on the website, telling you that the transaction was not successfully completed. In this instance, we will not process a charge against your payment account. In this instance, we will have previously placed a hold on the funds in your payment account, and such hold will be released by us immediately. It may take your financial service provider up to 7 days to process the release. In the case of such a delay, the transaction will appear as ‘pending’ on your payment account.
- YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT THE PHONE NUMBER THAT YOU WISH TO SEND THE MOBILE RECHARGE TO IS CORRECT AND THAT THE MOBILE OPERATOR SELECTED IS CORRECT. IF YOU SEND A MOBILE RECHARGE TO THE WRONG NUMBER OR THE WRONG OPERATOR, AND THE RECHARGE IS ACCEPTED AND APPROVED, THAT TRANSACTION IS NOT REVERSIBLE. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THE MOBILE NUMBER AND MOBILE OPERATOR IS CORRECT. IF YOU ENTER AN INCORRECT MOBILE NUMBER WHICH RESULTS IN YOUR MOBILE RECHARGE BEING SENT TO THE WRONG PHONE, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT VIP WILL NOT ISSUE ANY REFUND TO YOU, AND IS IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS YOU MAY INCUR.
