How do I know what OS I have?
Select 'Options' and then 'About'
Why didn't my call go out through VIP?
Please ensure that when you make a call a pop up window appears, make sure 'Call Using VIPConnect®' is selected
After I select 'Call Using VIPConnect®' there is a delay; do I need to enter anything?
No, please wait for 10 seconds and your call will be connected, if it still does not connect please email us at [email protected]
Can I use VIPConnect anywhere else besides the United States?
No, VIPConnect can only be used in the Contiguous United States
What are Permissions and why must I save them?
Permissions will allow VIPConnect® to intercept your call and send it over our network instead of your phone provider
Do I need to register my Caller ID in my VIP Account?
We recommend that you register your Caller ID in your VIP account. Then, in VIPConnect 'Setup', ensure that you have 'Authentication' set to 'By CLI'
Can I use VIPConnect without registering my Caller ID?
Yes, in the VIPConnect 'Setup' ensure that you have 'Authentication' set to 'By PIN'. Enter your 11-digit PIN in the 'PIN' field and then save the changes
Why do I hear a prompt that says 'Sorry, that PIN number has not been recognized, please try again'
This is most likely because VIPConnect is not setup correctly,
- We recommend that you set 'Authentication' to 'By CLI' and register your Caller ID to your VIP account (see above)
- If you do not want to register your Caller ID to your VIP account, ensure your 'Authentication' is set to 'By PIN' with your 11-digit number entered in the 'PIN' field
Why do I hear a prompt that says 'The number you dialed is not recognized, please try again'
If you are certain the number you dialed is correct, ensure that in the VIPConnect 'Setup' the 'Authentication' is set to 'By CLI'
